Iran's Envoy to Kiev Presents Credentials to Ukrainian FM

KIEV Iran's new ambassador to Kiev Ahmad Sadeq Bonab here Friday submitted a copy of his credentials to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Boris Tarasyuk. During the meeting, the Ukrainian minister expressed the hope that Tehran-Kiev relations will further expand during the term in office of the new Iranian ambassador to his country. There is no obstacle in the way of further promotion of bilateral relations, he said adding that despite global economic problems, the two countries' trade relations are at a favorable level.
The volume of Tehran-Kiev trade stood at some $300 million last year, he said. Referring to the upcoming visit of Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister to Kiev, Tarasyuk expressed the hope that his visit will be fruitful. Meanwhile, the Iranian ambassador hoped that the two countries will make use of all the existing potentials to bolster bilateral cooperation. He said that the visit of Iranian deputy foreign minister to Ukraine will lead to expansion of bilateral, regional and international cooperation between the two countries.
